It's almost 12pm on a Friday afternoon and I'm itching for the clock to strike 5pm so I can get my weekend started!  How would I spend a summery weekend?  I would wear my swimsuit as undergarments (just in case you detour to a pool or better, the beach), a sheer while shirt, paired with a relaxed pair of denim shorts.  I would roam around the city on my beach cruiser, looking for the next best diner or bakery.

Yes, that is my idea of a 'perfect' summer!

Is it 5 o'clock yet?!?

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Travel Dairy- Macau

 Ruins of St. Paul's

Doesn't this look like you're in Europe?

Only in Macau do they serve you hot tea while playing the slots

Dress: Urban Outfitters, Shoes- Sperry Top-sider, Purse- Coach

While in Hong Kong, the bf and I escaped the chaotic city for a little European-que city.  Macau was formally a Portuguese colony, which was handed back to China in 1999.  The mix of Chinese and Portuguese cultures had made Macau unique and you can see/taste it the architects and food.  It was amazing (or shocking) to see hints of European characteristics in rural China, I loved walking around town and seeing how each block is different.

Oh, Macau is also known as "Vegas of Asia".  You know that's why we made a trip there HAHA

Happy Tuesday!

Travel Dairy- Hong Kong Pt. I

Top: H&M, Bottom: BDG Denim, Footwear: Forever 21, Eye wear: Ray Ban, Purse: Coach

Hong Kong, with close to ten million people, it is one of the most densely packed cities in the world.  Teeming with awesome food stalls and skyscraper malls, it's a shoppers' heaven and I fell in love with this city.

On this particular day, my bf and I just roamed around Kowloon aimlessly trying street foods, resting our tired feet at a park and getting lost in the crowd.  Once the sun starts setting, we took the tram up to Victoria's Peak to get a glimpse of the skyscrapers.  I was in awe.

Hope you guys had an amazing weekend.  Stay tune for more pictures of my trip!

I think it was all those years in school that conditioned me to look forward to the end of June, which marks the start of summer vacation!  It's been a few years since I've been in school, but I still get a little giddy when the third week of June draws near.

I planned on making the most of this summer by going to outdoor music concerts, barbecuing with friends, and picnicking at secret parks (let me know if you guys know of any around the Los Angeles area!).  And I can wear this dream outfit to any of those occasions!

How do you guys plan to spend your summer?

Pretty Florals

Bustier Top- Lush, Skirt- Urban Outfitters, Bag/Boots- Forever 21, Rings- H&M, Bracelets- DIY

The weather has been (knock on wood) beautiful!  On the first warm day, I dragged the bf out to Santee Alley for a little bargain shopping and even though I left empty-handed, just being outside made me a happy girl.

I bought this top from a local shop on Melrose a few months ago and honestly, I don't know why.  I'm not a midriff-baring-chick.  Might be the color or the subtle cutouts, but I left the store with it and it's been collecting dust in the closet ever since.  I thought pairing this bustier with a high-waisted, a-line skirt was a more 'conservative' way of wearing this top and simply more me.

What are your impulse buy?

Party Planning

A few friends and I celebrated the Lover Boy's birthday a couple of weeks ago and I am surprisingly pleased with the outcome, not to toot-my-own-horn, but I hear it was an 'amazing' party!  HAHA  Here is a glimpse of the night:

I'm sorry I didn't share the planning process with you guys, the Lover Boy reads my blog from time to time and since it was a surprise party, I didn't want to be the one to ruin it.

And yes, that's me in the second picture, indulging in some tacos.  HAHA

Venue: Catchlight Studios
Caterer:  My Taco Man
Decorating and planning was done by yours truly! XO

A Little Rock & Roll

Forever 21- Top/Shorts/Belt/Boots, Marc by MJ- Watch, H&M- Rings

My favorite gals and I had a little staycation this weekend in Newport Beach and while it was sunny in LA, it wasn't near the beach.  Hence the outfit pictures taken from our hotel hallway.  I couldn't bare the wind or the light rain.  Sad face.

I think I have a slight obsession with these cutoff shorts!  I bought 4 pairs just last week and I have 2 more pending on a wishlist from Urban Outfitters.  I need help or I wish shopping wasn't so accessible.

Neon Brights

Dress- Forever 21, Shoes- Unknown from a street vendor, Random DIY bracelets

I'm really digging the bright, eye-blinding, neon colors!  Maybe a little too much since I'm wearing this lime crochet dress with some coral booties.  These pictures somehow toned down the vividness HAHA
