Fun Before The Storm

Lover boy and I decided to dusk the bicycles and ride to The Grove for a date night and surprisingly it wasn't that cold.  After a few blocks, I started stripping off my many layers, which I should have taken a picture of because I'm sure I looked ridiculous! 

I love these leopard booties from Forever 21, they really spruce up an ordinary outfit.  And for this playful date, I youtube'd some braids and found this updo one, I thought it added a little 'romanticism' to my look.  What do you ladies do for a date?  A friend suggested red lipstick, but with full lips, I cannot pull off that look.  Any other suggestions?  I would love to hear them!

Everyday Chic

I promised myself that I would blog more and so far, I've failed. (SORRY) I've been planning the lover boy's surprise birthday party and I didn't realize so much goes into it... the vendor, the entertainment, the caterer, photobooth, or no photobooth, this and that ahhh and it's a week away.

Having to run errands after work, I dressed extra comfortable and with the weather being so fickle, I wore a lot of light layers; perfect for the 'in-between' weather. 

Green With Envy

I was fighting with the wind to take these pictures... I won (it was hard work to keep from flashing the bystanders, hair in my face and to act like it wasn't cold).  I give the bloggers from snowy states/countries props to take their outfit posts.  Hands down a tough job.

The weatherman predicted rain all weekend, so I dusted off these boots for the rare occasion.  And I don't know if I'm lucky or not, but once I was ready to head out, the sun came out, these boots never saw rain.  hahaha

Don't let the sun fool you, it was pretty chilly in SoCal and I know my outfit kinda contradicts the sunny appearance. 

Have you ever bought something that you absolutely love and want to wear it with everything, everyday?  That's how I feel about this denim vest.  I like the easy-breezy-cool effect it adds to my outfit!  Swoon.

A day with me consist of a lot of eating!  E and I wondered the neighborhood for a new brunch spot and stumbled upon Salt's Cure.  It was a fun experience sitting at the bar, watching the chefs prepare our food.  I felt like we were in kitchen stadium as I commentate their every moves like Alton Brown.

I bet you're all wondering why I'm wearing rain boots... A friend told me about the grunion run happening this weekend.  Excitedly, E and I made a date night of it.  We went to Big 5 to buy our fishing licenses and dressed like we were going to the Arctic (I should I have taken an outfit pic, it was pretty ridiculous).  We anxiously waited until past midnight for them to jump out of the water to lay there eggs, but NOTHING.  I was pretty disappointed...  According to the calender, it's supposed to happen again next month, so better luck next time?!?

I Do... Not!

One of my very good friend got married yesterday!!!! It's the second wedding in our group; they're going down like dominos!  hahaha  I'm head-over-heels in love with this BCBG runway dress!  It didn't need much accessorizing since the dress was intricately overlaid with lace and I didn't want to compete with the dress.

These Boots Are Made For Walking

Another piece of clothing that has been in heavy rotation are these combat boots; they seriously go with everything!  I think these boots have walked over a 100 miles, the heels are very worn-out.  Sad face.

Off Hour Uniform

I've been living in shorts and sweaters these past few months that it became a joke amongst my friends, my "6-12 uniform" they call it.  I love the effortless and chicness of this combo!  LOVE!
